Reflection make connections in the text it was tricky because I had to make my sentences make sense next time I will try and make my sentences make sense.

Recipe For A Crazy Holiday

 

 WALT make a recipe for a holiday it was hard because it took a long time to do it and I had to change a lot of words in the sentences.

James And The Giant Peach

WALT create a poster for James and the Giant Peach. it was hard because I kept on forgetting to put capital letters and fill stops and the teacher had to help me.
next time I will remember my capitulate letter and my fill stops.

My Monster Poem

Refection: I was learning to write a poem describing a monster in the poem it was tricky because we had to write describing words and write simile to make the poem more interesting for the reader. I enjoyed writing my poem.

Volcano Inquiry

Reflection:I was learning all of the types of volcanoes. I was also learning to were the word volcano comes from. It was tricky because we had to a lot of facts about volcanoes

Kingfisher Art

We are learning to make a kingfisher 

it was tricky because we had to do the the background, the brunch, kingfisher and 

the painting the painting was the hardiest to do because 

you had to foggiest about were you were pitting the colors.

WALT solve multiplication problems with arrays
it was easy because I know my five times tables and the array
help me to make the answer and next times I could work on my 6, 7 and 8 times tables   

Measurement Scavenger Hunt

I was learning to estimate the length of a metre using a personal benchmark.
we had to estimate how long the object is then we measure the object.
It was hard because we had to show the difference between estimate and standard
measure length. 
 

The Greatest Race On Earth - Summarising

I was learning to summarise I found it tricky because we had to write a summary to tell about the fact in the book and we had to answer some questions.

Summarising Information

Reflection I was learning to summarise information about the Takapu. I found this hard because I didn't know what the key ideas were. We talked about it as a group and this helped me to understand. I need to keep working on this.

Research and sort NZ birds into categories

Reflection I was learning to sort birds into categories. It was easy because we did research to see if the birds were native, endemic or introduced. I found this tricky because I wasn't sure what category they should go in. I ended up using the website the teacher gave us.

In bike skills we were learning to be safe this is one of them. Cheek the chain for oil on the chain s th bike can go and we were learning to ride a bike for the, people that can't ride a bike.   

A Moment In Time

Refleciton
I was learning to write about Anzac day and we were learning about A moment in time. we had to write that I was in the war and we had to use the hear , smell ,felt saw, we also used I wondered. It was hard because I didn't get it like using the herd,  saw,  felt and wondered. It was really fun to do this.

Statistics

Reflection I was learning to do a statistical inquiry about Room's 14 favorite animals. We worked in a group and collect the data on a tally chart and then showed it on a bar graph. I found it a little bit hard because I didn't know about the axis.

Comprehension

it was easy because i had to find the words to the questions. I learnt that at the end of the celebration they have a lantern festival.

Welcome to my year 4 learning blog.  This year I am in Room 14 and my teacher is Mrs Prendergast. I enjoy learning about the Treaty of Waitangi.  This year I am looking forward to improving my maths.  I hope you will enjoy my blog and leave lots of feedback
